Spring Garden Cleanup

Get Your Garden Ready and Dazzling for Spring!

What we do to get your garden ready for the new season:

  • Remove weeds
  • Remove dead plant materials from perennials
  • Prune mature shrubs
  • Clean up and train climbing roses
  • Remove unwanted plants
  • The finishing touch: edge and mulch. In our humble opinion, edging and mulching is what gives your garden that “professional look”.

How Mulching Benefits You and Your Garden

Suppresses Weeds: Mulch truly is a humble workhorse for your garden! Sometime in July, we put down a thick layer of black mulch on our Endless Summer hydrangea bed. After an entire season of not weeding, there were merely a few weeds here and there on October 8th.

Saves Water: Mulch helps retain moisture in the soil, allowing you to water your plants less often and save money on utility bills.

Regulates Soil Temperature: Mulch helps keep soil temperatures more even, which benefits the roots of your plants as well as the organisms living in the soil.

Prevents Erosion: Mulch can help prevent erosion of soil through run-off , which helps to retain the nutrients and organic material in the soil.
